Zain and Maida’s January 17–18, 2026 wedding weekend was a beautiful two-day Muslim celebration centered on faith, family, and thoughtful design. With 300 guests in attendance, their Atlanta-area wedding felt intimate in spirit while still carrying the presence and energy of a large South Asian gathering.
Their nikkah took place at the Islamic Center of North Fulton, where friends and family gathered to witness the signing of the marriage contract and the couple’s official union. The setting was reverent and focused — a meaningful contrast to the celebration that followed. We approached the coverage with a documentary mindset, allowing the emotion of the ceremony to lead: quiet exchanges between Zain and Maida, family members offering duas, and the subtle in-between moments that often carry the most weight.
The reception at the Westin Atlanta Gwinnett transitioned into a refined, high-energy evening with layered décor, coordinated formalwear, and a packed dance floor. January light earlier in the day gave us the opportunity to create clean, natural portraits before guests arrived, balancing timeless compositions with a modern edge. As the evening unfolded, heartfelt speeches and celebratory entrances set the tone before the dance floor opened and the energy carried through the night.
For couples planning a high-end Muslim wedding in Atlanta or anywhere in the Southeast, Zain and Maida’s weekend is a strong example of how a traditional nikkah and a contemporary reception can come together seamlessly.
