Shoha & Hassan | Atlanta wedding at Swan House | Jaffari Center

October 11, 2025

Shoha and Hassan’s wedding celebrations spanned two June dates and brought together nearly 600 guests for a large-scale Muslim celebration in the Atlanta area. With events thoughtfully spaced between June 8th and June 14th, the weekend felt intentional and well-paced — allowing each gathering to have its own identity while still feeling connected.

The mehndi portraits took place at the Swan House, where the historic architecture and gardens created a timeless backdrop for Shoha’s intricate henna and vibrant attire. The setting complemented the color and detail of the celebration, giving us space to create refined, editorial-style portraits while still keeping the mood relaxed and natural. The mehndi itself was lively and welcoming — filled with music, close family, and the kind of candid interaction that defines the start of a South Asian wedding week.

Their nikkah was held at the Jaffari Center, where hundreds of guests gathered to witness the signing of the marriage contract and the couple’s formal union. The scale of attendance added a strong sense of community while the ceremony itself remained focused and reverent. Following the nikkah, we created additional portraits at Emory University, using its classic architecture and shaded walkways for clean, timeless compositions that balanced the energy of the larger event.

For couples planning a high-end Muslim wedding in Atlanta or the Southeast, Shoha and Hassan’s celebration shows how multi-day coverage, distinct portrait locations, and a well-structured timeline can elevate both the guest experience and the final imagery. With thoughtful coordination and space for real moments, even a 600-person wedding can feel organized, personal, and visually cohesive — something we’re always intentional about preserving in both photo and film.
