Outdoor weddings are some of my favorites. And aside from the typically warm Georgia weather, this one was everything I hoped for. The Heritage at Sandy Springs is an intimate little venue right in the heart of Sandy Springs. It’s surrounded by tall trees and greenery so you’d really have no idea you were right in the middle of a big city.
Here are some of my favorites from Scott and Ashley’s wedding, with a little commentary this time :)
I really loved this portrait of Ashley. This is easily one of my favorite bridal portraits of the year. She is standing in front of a 19th century milk house there in the garden.
When the veil is nearly 10 feet long, stuff like this will invariably happen. It wasn’t funny at the time, but I’m sure everyone will have a good laugh later.
Scott got a little emotional as he saw Ashley walk down the aisle.
Absolutely perfect day to have a wedding.
Ashley’s father is explaining something to Scott’s father here.
A wedding photographer loves nothing like a good cake smashing. This was honestly the best one I’ve had the privilege of seeing. Guys, please do this more!
Ashley’s family had a tradition of making tomato wine. They sampled some of it at the reception.
The tomato wine is supposedly very bitter, as confirmed by Ashley here.
I could literally feel the floor bouncing up and down during the reception. These guys partied hard!
Where are those bridesmaid dresses from?
