I Do Redo fashion shoot

This was a little fun shoot I did with some local Atlanta vendors to network a bit and showcase everyone’s talents.  Here are a few of the vendors involved:

Chris and Karin – Atlanta engagement

Hey folks.  It’s been quiet around here lately, but I’m still here.  I’ve just been taking some time off before the wedding season hits to tie up some loose ends and to spend some time with the new puppy I just got:)

On Monday I went down to the Inman Park area of Atlanta to have an engagement session with Chris and Karin.  Despite the bitter cold and the wind, we had a good time.  Here are some of my favorites:

Tim and liz – Wedding at Windermere country club

So 2010 opened up with a bang last weekend with Tim and Liz’s wedding at Windermere country club.  This was a couple days after the blizzard (read: 1/2″ snow) hit Atlanta so there was still a little bit of ice on the ground.  Despite the cold weather, the sun was shining and we got some great outdoor shots.

Here are my favorites.  Let me know what you think.:)

Nate and Emily – Wedding at Flint Hill

Here are a few of my favorites from Nate and Emily’s wedding.  This was on December 28th, 2009 at Flint Hill in Norcross.  As my last wedding of 2009, it really capped off a great year.

The whole day went great, with the exception of the very end.  The stretch limo that was supposed to come and pick everyone up got stuck in the ditch out in front of the house.  After about a 45 minute delay, things got back up and going.  I told everyone not to worry, that 5 years from now this incident would make a great story.  It made for some entertaining pictures anyway.

Let me know what you think!

Welcoming in 2010

Hi guys.  For starters, this is going to be an unusually wordy blog post for me.  I don’t usually write a lot with my posts because I prefer to let the pictures do most of the talking.  However, for this post I’m looking back over a very successful year and welcoming in a new year.

I just finished up my 33rd (and last) wedding of 2009 this past Sunday.  In retrospect, this is about the number I would like to stick to for 2010.  Taking on significantly more work would probably lead to some degree of burnout and ultimately a lower quality product.  I would like to avoid this at all costs.  My goal is to continually improve photographically and provide my couples with a better experiences on their wedding day.  Keeping my mind and creative vision fresh helps to ensure that.  I’ve made some changes in how I work and how I handle my relationship with couples that should only strengthen couples’ satisfaction in the upcoming year.

I’ve been very blessed this past year in having some great couples and shooting some great weddings.  I’ve really tried hard to network and get the word out about my work over the past 6-8 months and it has really paid off.  Right now I’ve got 27 weddings on the books for 2010 with two currently pending.  The response has really been overwhelming and I’m grateful for that.

So here is looking forward to a great year.  I hope all of you had a great holiday season.  Here are a few images from a wedding I recently shot with my friend Robert Combier:
